Brad Vandermark has over 25 years of environmental and water legal issues expertise.  He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from the University of Arizona, and a Masters of Public Administration from Arizona State University with a focus on resource management, research methods, policy analysis and intergovernmental relations.  His master's thesis was titled, "Proposal to Solve Arizona's Groundwater Overdraft, Or a Better Alternative to the Central Arizona Project".

In 1980, he wrote and submitted a proposal to the Phoenix City Council titled, "Sewage Effluent Reuse and its Growth Management Potential in the Phoenix Metropolitan Area".  In the mid-1980's, he served on the 9-member Pima County Wastewater Management Advisory Board to review and evaluate its $180 million 10-year Wastewater System Capital Improvement Program as well as its $30 million annual operating budget.

From 1986 thru 1997 (or eleven years), he managed a variety of Special
Environmental Projects for the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality - Water Quality Division.  In 1991 (eleven years before the huge Rodeo-Chediski Fire in 2002), he wrote a proposal for City and County Managers in Arizona titled, "Arizona's Urban and Rural Tinderboxes - Can They Be Dampened?", which addressed at-risk youth problems and the deteriorating forestry conditions across rural Arizona.  In addition, he has lobbied before Congressional Committees regarding western U.S. water issues, was selected as an environmental expert to formulate national environmental strategic goals, and has been centrally involved in qualifying 7 issues for the Arizona ballot since 1976, which included energy,
environmental, and transportation issues.

In 1996, he founded Arizona Country Environmental Consultants with a focus on individual on-site wastewater systems, Arizona water issues, and Phase-I Environmental Assessments.  He can be reached at Office telephone (480) 496-0195 or email:
